The Terrifying Evening
It was evening time. I was studying in my room. Suddenly, I heard my mother screaming loudly from the kitchen. I ran to the kitchen and found my mother lying unconscious on the floor, and my father was crying loudly.
When I asked my father the reason for crying, he told me that my younger brother, who had gone to play with his friends on the ground, suddenly had a heart attack and died.
I was shocked to hear what my father said. In a short while, all the relatives and neighbours gathered at our house. My father and I immediately left for the government hospital, where my younger brother’s dead body was lying. It was the beginning of my Real Ghost Encounter in a Haunted Hospital.
First Fright at the Hospital
After reaching the hospital, we came to know that my brother’s dead body was lying in the postmortem room of the hospital. My father and I ran to the building where the postmortem room of the hospital was located.
The postmortem room was located in an old building, which was situated at the back of the hospital. It was night. When my father and I reached the postmortem room, the security guard was leaving for home after locking the postmortem room.
I stopped the security guard and asked him about my brother’s dead body. He told us to collect it the next morning. I requested the security guard to let me see my brother’s dead body. He started laughing and said,”If you stay in the postmortem room at night, you will become a dead body yourself.
It is better to come and take away the body tomorrow morning.” Saying this, the security guard left from there. That moment marked the first chill of my Real Ghost Encounter in a Haunted Hospital.
The Mysterious Girl on the Terrace
After standing there for a while, my father and I were leaving, when my eyes fell on the terrace of the postmortem room, where a small girl of about 15 to 16 years was standing. The girl’s hair was open, covering her face.

I found this a bit strange. I kept looking at that girl. What was that girl doing alone on the terrace of the postmortem room at such a late hour? This question was arising in my mind again and again.
Returning Alone at Night
My father and I reached home. I left my father there and went back to the hospital. It was around 11 p.m. The old building situated at the back of the hospital looked very scary in the dark. Outside the building, a bulb was flickering and constantly switching on and off.
I looked towards the terrace of the building, but I could not see any girl there. I was very scared to go inside the building. After a while, it started raining heavily. I ran inside the building, where it was very dark.
Since this building was at the back of the hospital, no person used to come or go here at night. This old building, situated amidst tall trees all around, looked like a haunted building. There was a strange silence here, due to which I was even more scared.
It was the scariest part of my Real Ghost Encounter in a Haunted Hospital.
Inside the Postmortem Room
I switched on the light of my mobile phone and walked towards the postmortem room in the building. The door of the room was locked from outside.
I was not able to understand how to open the lock. It was dark all around, and at that moment, someone put a hand on my shoulder from behind. I looked back in fear, and there was no one. I started sweating due to fear.
I immediately went out of the building.
Joseph Joins In
It was around 1 o’clock in the night. I was getting calls from relatives and friends from home, and everyone was asking where I was at such a late hour. I told them that I was in the hospital.
In a short while, one of my friends, Joseph, who was an intern doctor in the same hospital, reached the hospital on his motorcycle. I called him near the old building behind the hospital and told him in detail about whatever happened with me.
Joseph took a big stone in his hand and went inside the building.
The Dark Mortuary Scene – A Real Ghost Encounter in a Haunted Hospital
I followed Joseph inside the building. Reaching the postmortem room, I told Joseph:
“My brother died of a heart attack, so I am not able to understand why his body is being subjected to a postmortem. I have heard that doctors remove organs from dead bodies and sell them at a high price. Is this true?”
Joseph agreed with me and said, “Yes, this is true friend. In many big hospitals, some greedy doctors remove vital organs from the body of a dead person and sell them to other patients at a high price to earn money, which is called organ trafficking.” Saying this, Joseph broke the lock of the postmortem room with the stone he was holding in his hand.
The room was very dark, and we were feeling a strange smell. Joseph and I switched on the mobile phone light and went inside. Inside, many dead bodies were lying on stretchers. All the dead bodies were covered with white cloth.
This place seemed more like a mortuary than a postmortem room. Joseph and I were not able to understand why there were so many dead bodies in a postmortem room.
We somehow found my younger brother’s dead body in the dark by turning on the mobile phone light.
Joseph was checking my brother’s dead body, and I was standing behind Joseph holding the mobile phone. Suddenly, someone put a hand on my shoulder from behind.
I turned my face back in fear, but I could not see anything in the dark. It was another terrifying moment during my Real Ghost Encounter in a Haunted Hospital.
The Stretchers Begin to Move
All of a sudden, we heard a sound. When we listened carefully, we found that it was the sound of a stretcher. I shone the light of my mobile phone in the direction from where the sound was coming.
There was a stretcher lying far away, which was moving slowly back and forth on its own. A dead body covered with a white cloth was lying on that stretcher.
Seeing the stretcher moving in the dark, my hair stood on end. I signalled Joseph to leave the building, but Joseph did not listen to me. Joseph and I were looking at each other in shock when all the stretchers in the room began shaking violently.
It was yet another horrifying instance of our Real Ghost Encounter in a Haunted Hospital.
Lights Go On — Bodies Move
This scene scared us so much that Joseph and I started running out of there, but then the door of the room closed loudly. It seemed as if someone had closed the door of the postmortem room from outside.
Joseph and I started shouting for help, but there was no one to hear us at 2 a.m. in the deserted, haunted building. Abruptly, all the stretchers stopped moving and the room became completely dark and silent again.
It was then we realized we were trapped inside a Real Ghost Encounter in a Haunted Hospital.
The Girl’s Ghost Appears Again
I turned the light of my mobile phone towards the stretcher lying in front of us, and we were shocked. In front of us was a dead body covered with a white cloth, which was sitting on the stretcher.
We were shocked to see such a scary sight. Suddenly, my eyes fell on the switchboard located on the side wall.
I immediately turned on all the switches with my trembling hands, due to which all the lights of the postmortem room started working. As soon as the lights were switched on, we saw that horrifying sight, which, if a weak-hearted person had seen, he would have had a heart attack.
As soon as the lights were switched on, we saw that there were dead bodies sitting on all the stretchers of the postmortem room, and all the dead bodies were covered with white cloth. We were not able to understand what to do.
Joseph had almost fainted. Our mobile phone was not getting a network, and then I heard the sound of a girl crying from inside the room, but I could not see the girl anywhere in the room. Joseph pointed towards a stretcher lying far away with his finger.
I slowly started moving towards that stretcher. On the stretcher was sitting the dead body of a little girl who was covered in white clothes. When I went near the stretcher, the girl’s dead body sitting on it laughed loudly, which terrified me.
Joseph and I ran into another room inside the postmortem room where began another scary moment of our real ghost encounter in a haunted hospital.
Desperate Escape
There was one dead body lying on the floor in the other room, covered with a white cloth. We were looking at that body when the lights in the room suddenly went off and everything turned dark.
After a while, the lights came back on, but the dead body in front of us had vanished. Suddenly someone put a hand on both my and Joseph’s shoulders.
When we turned around, the dead body that had been on the floor moments before was now standing behind us. Joseph and I screamed loudly.
The lights went off again, plunging the room back into darkness. After a while, when the lights came back on, the same dead body was once again lying on the floor exactly where it had been earlier.
A strong wind blowing through the window caused the white cloth to slip off the face of the dead body, and that’s when we saw it was the dead body of a young girl. Joseph and I slowly walked toward her.
We were staring at her when the lights went off again and the room was engulfed in darkness. I immediately switched on my mobile phone light, but the dead body had disappeared.
Suddenly, I heard a girl’s voice from the window of the room. When we looked towards the window, we were very scared because the same girl, whose dead body was lying on the ground in front of us a while ago, was calling us from outside the window.
Joseph and I immediately ran and reached the door of the postmortem room. The lights of the room started turning on and off. Joseph started trying to break the door of the room with a stick lying at a short distance.
I looked back and saw that all the dead bodies of the postmortem room, which were sitting on the stretcher, had now stood up and were coming towards us. It was the most frightening part of my Real Ghost Encounter in a Haunted Hospital.
Aftermath & Consequences
Seeing the dead bodies covered in white cloth coming towards us, Joseph was so frightened that he was about to faint due to fear. Then the security guard from outside opened the door of the postmortem room.
As soon as the door opened, all the lights of the room turned off, and there was complete darkness all around. The security guard and I held Joseph in our hands and took him out of the building.
Many relatives, including my father, were standing outside the building. Joseph’s father and his brother immediately took him to the hospital for treatment. The security guard and my father scolded me a lot for going to the postmortem room so late at night.
When I was going back from there, I turned and looked at that old building. Then I saw a little girl standing on the terrace of the building who was calling me towards her — the final vision of my Real Ghost Encounter in a Haunted Hospital.
At this time, it was around 3 o’clock in the night. Joseph had to be kept in the hospital for 3 days. The doctors said that his mental condition was not good. Joseph’s father held me responsible for such a condition of Joseph and told me that I should never meet Joseph.
Today, Joseph and I have no contact, but I know that his father has sent him to study somewhere in Europe.
Final Reflection
When I told this story to my friends and some relatives, they did not believe me. But was it really just an illusion? I don’t think so. Even today, the memory of that Real Ghost Encounter in a Haunted Hospital sends chills down my spine.
